CLAY MILLICAN AND TEAM TORCO RACING GATORNATIONALS

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (Mar. 11, 2008) – In a surprise announcement today, it is confirmed Clay Millican and his Knoll Gas Motorsports, SinFuel Choppers, Torco Racing Fuels Top Fuel Dragster will join competition at the NHRA AC Delco GatorNationals in Gainesville, Florida March 14 - 16. The decision was made largely due to the success the team had during recent testing in Valdosta , Georgia .

“Torco was very happy with how the car performed in testing and just called and said go give it a shot; go win us a gator,” said an excited Millican. “Am I happy about it? You better believe I am. I’m ready to go race. The car has done everything we want it to do, so now what we want it to do is turn four win lights on in Gainesville , and get my first NHRA win. I would love nothing more then to send the GatorNational trophy to Decatur , Michigan to Evan and hopefully make him feel better. I look forward to stepping on the gas for the first round of qualifying at my first NHRA race of the year”

Although the team has not raced the first two events of 2008, Millican does not feel he is at any disadvantaged. After utilizing an aggressive testing plan in the off season, he believes the team can pick right back up and be able to race at top performance.

“We’ve got two really, really good, long test sessions; one in December and one this last week in Valdosta . We’re ready to go race. We have a veteran team this year and you can put them right back in. It’s like riding a bicycle. I don’t see any missed steps. The only missed step may be the guy stepping on the pedal. My goal is always one run at a time. The only run I’m concerned about right at this moment is the very first round of qualifying. We want to go out there and do the best job we can each and every lap, and hopefully things will work out the way they’re supposed to. I have no doubt we’ll be competitive.”
