It was 5.11 and I forget the speed.. 247? He ran right after Funny Car so it was all set up for 1,000 foot.

It was 217. If it had went 247 in a 1,000 ft you'd have seen me doing back flips when I got out of the car. Thanks everyone for the kind words, it was awesome to be able to run in front of a bunch of my family and friends at my hometown track. Thanks to Troy Martin who makes it all possible and lets me drive his hot hod. I haven't had a chance to watch the coverage yet, but it's on the DVR, so I'll check it out tomorrow. I had a really neat shot emailed to me though

Icing on the cake for Mike and the crew ! That is a great frameable classic shot of the beautiful car in full flame !
How much pop were you running Mike ? Them flames were tall !

For those of us who were fans during the Match Racing and Cavalcade Of Stars Days the recreated cars also recreate memories of the good old days.

It's hard to believe at one time there were hundreds of funny cars !
More than there are Pro Mods now !
