I flew "Air Herbert" many times in the early-2000s. Doug made seats available for Gilby & me and Rickie Smith to all the races he flew himself to. We all met at a small FBO where Doug kept his plane. Only rule to get a ride was to be on time for wheels-up, if not Doug would leave you behind.

Doug is a good pilot, an ATP license is the pinnacle license in the industry and I know how hard Doug worked to attain one.
