CAPPS TO APPEAR AT NAPA AUTO PARTS STORE IN MORGANTOWN, PA., AUG. 14

MOHNTON, Pa. (Aug. 13, 2008) - Ron Capps, the popular driver of the NAPA AUTO PARTS Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, will drop by Morgantown Auto Parts, a NAPA AUTO PARTS store, in Morgantown, Pa., on Thursday, Aug. 14.
Just down the road from Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Pa., where Capps will compete in the 24th annual NHRA Nationals this weekend, Morgantown Auto Parts will host a lunch open to the public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by an autograph session with Capps from 1 to 3 p.m.
"It's a great event," said Morgantown Auto Parts owner Ken Romig. "Maple Grove Raceway is a local track and it's a good way for the local customers to be able to meet one of the top drivers."
Capps enjoys visiting NAPA AUTO PARTS stores as he travels the country competing at NHRA national events. "It's always fun interacting with the fans at a NAPA store," he said. "We joke about the funny NAPA commercials with Michael Waltrip and me that are aired on TV, and we talk about NHRA drag racing and how it compares to NASCAR, where Michael races. It's a blast."
Immediately following this visit, Capps will join his NHRA drag racing comrades at the NHRA Softball Classic charity event for DRAW (Drag Racing Association of Women) at the FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, Pa., beginning at 5 p.m.
Morgantown Auto Parts is located in the center of Morgantown, off Routes 10 and 23, behind Rita's Water Ice stand.
