Great win. I can't remember the last time a single car team that started from scratch put up wins like this one. Like Meatloaf said, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
2 holeshots during eliminations ain't too shabby, even if Steve said it was a bad job at red lighting. Awesome to see his success. I always rooted for him and JR in Tuttle's Skull Shine rail - that was a bad lookin' ride!
Could it be that a single car team may have an advantage over a multi-car team. The multi-car teams are trying to use information from all their cars to come up with the best tune-up. With a single car team you are only concerned with your car and what it will do. A lot of information can be gained by a good crew chief just by watching the other cars run.
Also, with the multi-car teams sharing information one of the drawbacks is that no two cars are exactly the same or react exact the same.
Just something to think about.....
A big congrats to Steve it's great to see a nice guy win, even though he is from Texas. Keep up the good work.
