The Western Sydney International Dragway at Eastern Creek is gearing up for an explosive post-Christmas party for fans of horsepower when it hosts Round 3 of the National Top Fuel Championship and Round 4 of the National Top Alcohol Championship over two action packed days on December 26and 27.
One of the biggest names in Australian Drag Racing, Brett 'The Boss' Stevens, will be attending the event when he lines up in his immaculately presented Kitten Car Care Products Ford Mustang Funny Car in the Top Alcohol bracket.
On the back of a stunning display in the last Round of the Championship at Perth where he rattled off the four fastest times of the event, Stevens intimidating presence on-track will be again felt in Sydney when he looks to make a strike at the Championship as the season reaches the halfway mark.
"The Top Alcohol bracket has risen to be one of the premier brackets in Australian Drag Racing for both competitors and spectators, the racing is always fierce and it is going to be one of the highlights of the event," Stevens said.
"We are really happy with how my Kitten Funny Car is performing at the moment and we are right on top of the tune ups."
"Going on our recent performances we are looking for a good result that will put me in a strong position in the New Year to have a shot at the National Championship in the back half of the season."
"The Western Sydney International Dragway is one of the best Drag Racing facilities in the world and with the tight competition in Top Alcohol and some of the worlds leading Top Fuel drivers visiting from USA, there is going to be plenty of action on the track for the fans on Boxing Day."
As well as the Top Alcohol category, the Boxing Day Drag Racing event will also feature the ever-popular Top Fuel Dragsters that will reach speeds of over 500km/h.
Highlighted by some international entries in Top Fuel, the bracket has been dubbed the 'USA Versus Australian Top Fuel Showdown' with two of the leading drivers from the worlds richest Drag Racing Championship, the NHRA, set to take on the best of the locals.
The spectacle of some of the world's fastest cars making earth shattering runs down the quarter mile drag strip is not to be missed.
In between the racing schedule, Stevens will also be entertaining the fans with his famous Jack Daniel's Racing Falcon Burnout Ute which has been custom built for his amazing driving displays.
He will be smoking up the Western Sydney International Dragway burnout pad with his 2,500 horsepower, methanol sucking machine, hoping to get the fans in a spin with the performance.
