Those "shenanigans" look like rumors to me, and I wouldn't give any credit to rumors until they are fact. But to each his own

It's silly season, every single sport has it. It's the readers choice to participate in the rumors whether it's to inform the mind or comment on it. I don't mind it until someone forms a conclusion about a group or individual based on a rumor. Even if it holds on to be true you have to remember drag racing is a business 100% of the time. Silly season outcomes might piss people off, might even screw people on the actual teams, but at the end of the day no full time team is doing this for fun and as a hobby. That may be a characteristic, but a full time team can be thought of like a mom and pop shop, money needs to be made and tomorrow needs to be possible.

So Michael, why wouldn't Lucas put Dixon in his other car if he (Lucas) had nothing to do with the Al-Anabi shake-up? Not that BB is a slouch, by any means, but who's more accomplished overall? And we have established that AJ will have a hand in tuning 4 cars this season right? To me, it seems pretty obvious what happened.

Forrest had nothing to do with Shawn leaving. He did that all on his own. The team was surprised when it happened. The only person who is no longer there is John Stewart and I never heard why that happened.

The rest of the teams are getting the cars ready for testing in a couple of weeks.

I don't want to be one of those guys 'who knows it all' and I'm not, however a friend passed on information to me about why Dixon lost his ride (fact not rumor) I am not going to post why he lost his ride - it is none of my business. I am posting to say that your theory about Forrest having a hand in Dixon going/not being picked is not even close to the mark, and that is that.

I don't think it's obvious at all. Dixon is a 3-Time Champion and several seasons of his career he's been a contender if not finishing 2nd. We have no idea how it went down, maybe Lucas offered it to Dixon, Dixon is a champion he's never going to drive a non contending car. I think if he was offered he would of declined because there is many unsure aspects as to if they will be able to contend or just make some noise. Lucas never contended for a TF title and that's what he's finally hoping for this year when title time comes around. Brandon only had 1 season where he was a serious contender, this is all about getting 2 drivers back to contending status and I don't think Dixon if he was offered would of went to a team with ???????

I still see Dixon involved in this JFR Rumor and I also see him driving with prock tuning and brit runs a part time schedule to get up to speed. Anyone who knows Force knows he's not gonna put together any half assed team and Dixon I feel would jump at this chance. I think maybe that's why he left AJR cause maybe this was brewing long before the rumor came out.

As I said in another thread: They will be in testing mode this year. Courtneys' crew will work with the pipe rack. No crew has been assembled yet for Brittanys' car. And LD is not in the plans whatsoever.

would have to agree - i did not see a 'langdon released' statement prior
to al-anabi, just a release stating 'landgon to al-anabi'.

whatever, at least the smart guy in top fuel is spreading his genius
to at least 7 cars (3 teams) this year, and possibly more.
think there isn't innovation anymore? look again.

and what's really amazing, coil held a whole class captive too for many
years, and he did it with two cars!

I think it's really effing hilarious that you think it's your sworn duty to point out that you know for a fact what happened (twice), yet why is (not your business).
