BRAINERD, Minn. (8/14/06) -- "I've got the semifinal blues," said Tom Bradford. "I can't seem to get past that round." Still, the Wisconsin based NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle racer couldn't help but be happy with the continued progress he and the team are making with the Balbayis Asset Consulting/Hal's Speedshop Buell.
However, Bradford did drop back two spots in the qualifying order to fourth after Saturday's sessions.
But despite raceday's issues with rain, Bradford and the team's performance shone bright and clear. "We fought the rain but they managed to get the track dried off and got the event rolling," said Tom. "And we had a great day. We marched right through two rounds and went to the semis."
"We ran quick time of the event against Matt Smith in round 2. That gave us lane choice against Antron for the semi. We tried to repeat the .08, but I cut the tree a little too close and the bike slowed to a .14."
"We secured our place in the Ringer's Gloves Battle and moved up to eighth in points, so all in all it was a great weekend."
