Anyone help here is it common for a big show funnycar to bend a camshaft and straighten it again.?

That sounds like a really bad idea. Could be in the bad idea jeans skit from SNL

Got a usedcam for our nostalgia funnycar that’s 15thou bent

Depends on what material the cam core is made from. Cast core would be risky; more likely to crack and break - even if not during the straightening processes which has to over-bend it and let it spring back. Billet steel, maybe. But I'd still be afraid of introducing small internal fractures during the straightening process that may cause a big problem later.

But I could be wrong.....................
