New England Nationals 2016. It's remarkable that Jack could do a great interview after that massive explosion, but Jack's a quality guy.

Broken axle ??....
Thats what I thought or suspension.... does it look like the tire (and rear end housing ) is tucked forward under the car? This is well before contact with the wall.

I’m sure glad Hyde’s car was hooked up and had pulled away before Beckman’s car crossed the center line.
One car wrecks are bad enough. I hate the thought of two cars getting tangled up.

Was liquid on the track determined to be the culprit? Looks like the right tire was still attached until it slammed into the wall, and then it snapped off from that impact...

Very odd reaction from the car. I don't claim to know a lot but it spun around really quickly.
Yeah there was something weird about how that car handled. We were sitting in line with the starting line so we got the back view and I was surprised to see the wheel/tire sitting there on the track after it hit the wall. Went by the pits after the finals and two studs were bent up. Not sure if a hit with the wall would do that or if there was some error installing the tires. I haven't seen the program on TV yet so I'm not sure if they went back to the pits to ask what happened.

There isn't any suspension. The rear axle housing bolts solid directly to the chassis.

In my opinion, the rear tire looks to be in the correct location in that picture. These modern FC bodies seem to cover the front leading edge of the tire which makes them look like they're not centered in the wheel opening. (probably for aero reasons)

I realize this isn't a picture of Jack's car (quick google search) but it gives you an idea of rear wheel to body placement:
