I would guess that Jack realizes that for the amount he brings to the program, he would not be able to field his own operation, so he still has it way good.

And yes he is a good guy. He taught me how to drive a dragster.

Sorry, but this is a business and Don has to align his best resources behind the partners who are paying the most. Anytime you see Schumacher Electric on the side of the car should give you an indication who is footing the bill when Valvoline isn't the primary.

Exactly. I admire Don for willing to open his own wallet for the race when it could of just simply been parked. He's not even getting the round 1 money, but he will get the top 10 check.

This is about the team swap a couple of weeks ago. Jack's car and team got swapped with Capps. Jack and Ron swapped situations just as quickly. One qualifies/runs well the other doesn't. Not sure "screwed" is the right term, but one can't argue the outcome of the change. Of course the team owner can and will do as they please -- or more accurately as they need to.

I concur that it's likely the car, since clearly the other factors (driver, tuneup, equip., $$, etc) have been, or can be, controlled for.

I'm a huge Beckman fan. But come on, Shoe needs to do what's best from a business standpoint, as others have mentioned. Jack's car has been teetering on the funding side for a few seasons I believe, ever think that maybe Shoe is doing everything he can to keep Jack out there? Everyone knows these things can make a rich man poor very quickly if one isn't extremely disciplined. Also, Jack said last night that's it's a new car, so it's not the pipe. It'll turn around.

funny,,,,, when Whit was replaced by Beckman everyone said it's business.... how's this different... I'm no beckman fan , but explain to me the difference
