I think I was more surprised to read the following in the subsequent Comp+ article:

Rob Wendland, Gray's assistant crew chief, has been promoted to crew chief.

"We also have Rahn Tobler and John Collins from Jack Beckman's car trying to get the same combo they have into Gray's car. We are doing all we can."

I thought they had the same combo in all the cars.
