“Part of the Kalitta business-to-business model means we work with our sponsors to bring them added value to their partners as well,” said Chad Head, Kalitta Motorsports General Manager. “MAHLE has a great relationship with Auto Value and we wanted to support both of these great companies at the race in Brainerd.”
The Auto Value branding will be prominently displayed on the Top Fuel dragsters driven by Doug Kalitta and Shawn Langdon as well as the Toyota Camry Funny Car J.R. Todd has driven to runner-up finishes at the past two national events. The drivers will also be spending time with Auto Value and MAHLE guests before the race as well as hosting meet and greet sessions throughout the race at BIR.
“We are proud to be associated with Kalitta Motorsports and their three amazing drivers,” said Jim Kahut MAHLE Business Development Manager. “Getting the chance to spend time with the folks from Auto Value before and during the race is a great opportunity for us to use NHRA to grow our business and have some fun. This will be a great weekend for sure.”
Auto Value delivers over 1.9 million quality replacement auto parts and accessories as well as value-added services to the automotive aftermarket. Since 2019 Kalitta Motorsports has been a member of Team MAHLE working with MAHLE Aftermarket throughout the year to test products on the track for new product development and test information and serving as brand ambassadors. MAHLE Performance brand piston rings minimize friction to deliver “free” horsepower. Ultra-flat ring sides and a precision finish promotes better sealing and are available in PVD coatings for extreme applications.
Kalitta, Langdon and Todd will begin qualifying on Friday night with two additional qualifying sessions on Saturday before final eliminations begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The race will be broadcast nationally on Fox.
