Arizona Nationals weather

You talking about like they did for Firebird Lake boat course? And that was done before the Dragstrip was built.
didn't know they had them. actually i noticed orlando speedworld has covered bleachers this year. saw them on the
div. 2 lodrs race live feed

The bleachers on the spectator side at Tulsa used to be covered.
I believe the frame work is still there but the sheet metal roof is not.

never been to the races there but changed planes at airport once. walked outside to have a smoke and thought I was going to melt
When I moved from Ohio to Phoenix on my 1st day at my new job as a machinist it was a shop that on nice days they would have the garage doors open. So I'm working and thinking how nice the temperature was, guessing it was 75-79°. So I get home that evening and the news is saying WE SET a new record, it was high 80s. Yes it is a dry heat.
The spring and fall weather is the best in the world. Summer you just learn to work around it. And I never slipped into a ditch because the road had too much sun on it.
I'd still be there if not for family reasons.
First time I visited Phoenix was a 5 day Labor Day weekend. Was really surprised at the difference between there and the midwestern summer humidity. Phoenix was 110 with 18% humidity heat index 110, back home with it 95 and 75% you have a heat index of 128 degrees. You don't want to be out in the Phoenix sun but in the shade you don't even break a sweat. It's all about the humidity. Working in non air conditioned auto shops my whole life I'll take the desert southwest any day.
