Saw him in Charlotte NC last week...Great show ...the guy still has it going on for 61...surrounded himself with some original Silver Bullet memebrs..Alto reed ( sax ) is incredible.. plus others .........Don Brewer ( Grand Funk ) on the drums ..If you like Seger, don't miss it ...:D

Hammer, I missed the Seger show, but I did go to see Rockstar Supernova Friday night in Norfolk. A little change of pace from Seger and E. John. :)

Murdock.

Wow...Murdock , the Headbanger.....

:)........... How was it ? LOUD ? ......Anxious to hear how it went ?

He put on a great show Steve, but I'm sure Mr .Strait had great show as well..Looks like the Hoos will end up with a decent recruiting year...Big Al needs to come through next year with the number of starters he has coming back..The natives are a bit restless.I'm trying to figure out how to get to the Wyoming game next year, that would be a cool road trip !

Hey uh, Mr. Wright, I got tickets to the Portland show. Does he use the big screens? And what's on the play list?

I remember seeing Bob in Portland in High School and Alto Reed came out from the audience doing the beginning of the song "Mainstreet"

I can't flippen wait as I've been hoping he'd tour again but up unil a few months ago there was no signs that was going to happen. I love the new Segar record it has some great material on it.

Doug, Strait was dynamite. It was the best concert I've seen him put on yet. It was a Richter! Ronnie Milsap was great as well.

The UVA schedule came out yesterday. My 11th season of season tickets and making the 5 hour journey to C'ville. I've become restless with Al a little myself. The ACC was so bad last year, if we could have played normal UVA football we could have gotten 10 wins. But oh well! We need a great receiver to come along.

Steve, Its show time for the Hoos...I'm season ticket holder as well...It appears if we hang on to this class , we will ended up with a pretty good one.Didn't get everybody but...

I just saw where Byars is gone ..for next year ..Sewell should be ready to go and I agree ,we need some WR's to make some plays ,wish Deyon had taken the medical red shirt, we could sure use him..Keith Payne has sure recived alot of hype, lets hope he can get it done...The schedule is in our favor for sure .I would like to go to the Wyoming game ( if I can talk my wife into it ..LOL ) Do you ever visit /post on the Sabre .com ?

Man..now that's a program!!

Closest to me is Omaha in March..on a Tues (duh)..but I'll find a way.

I'm a little disappointed I didn't see 'Like A Rock' in that list. Still one of my fav Seger songs.

I suppose he figures Chevy burnt it out..LOL

HUH?!? SAY WHAT?!? It was actually a very good show. And it was the wife's idea to go. We had religiously watched every episode of the show during the summer, and she reminded me that they were going to be in the area on tour. So off we went. In a suprise (at least to me) Delana opened the show with a short acoustic set. Then Toby Rand and his band from Australia came on. After that it was Dave Navarro and Panic Channel. No shortage of volume there. Supernova was somewhat of a dissapointment, not what you would expect of Tommy Lee and Gilby Clarke. But it was well worth the 200 mile trip to check them out. Even ran into a friend of mine from Lynchburg at the show. We were both asking "Hey, where's Hammer?" :)

Murdock.

Seger probably had @ 12,000 or so in Charlotte..I think the capacity was 15,000..Yes, he didn't play anything commercialized..i.e promos for GM , movie themes..etc..just the basic stuff that he is known for ...

Murdock, I watched that Supernova series as well... Glad you enjoyed ..I'm sure the decibel level was up there..LOL...Glad you were thinking of me..LOL...

Yea Doug..but he could play 'Like a Rock' and there's only a few things from that ..that people would remember. Maybe it takes someone to play the slide like it's supposed to be..ya know..like Dawayne Bailey did..hehe. That really is hard to replicate.

Well I got my tickets Dude..so I'll be in Omaha..with my 12 yr old son..hell I'm hittin his leg on all road trips singing the sh!t anyway..so he'll have a good time.

There was a gal named Shaun Murphy who did the backgrounds during Seger's tours..most notably Nine Tonight stuff..(lived in Cedar Rapids for a time)

She is now heading Little Feat..

What a voice..SHAUN MURPHY

In the liner notes of Bob Seger's live album Nine Tonight, she is credited for singing backup vocals for the entire tour.

(along with Moody Blues and others) tidbit stuff.

Hey David , Shaun is on this tour...She is great as is the whole BAND !..Hey , so cool you are taking your son..We took our oldest daughter , 13 yrs old to the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach S.C. two years ago to see Pat Benetar ..My wife and I were digging it but the daughter freaked alittle ( SMOKE !!! and a few who maybe had one too many )...Last year , we took her to see the Stones at Duke University (outside ) .She liked it ....My wife and I got to see them two days prior at the University of Virginia ...Things were rockin' till they had a bomb threat called in ..stopped the show ...for 45 minutes...( Guess Mick and the boys got a power nap ) ..By the time they came back out , we had to get home ( 2 hrs.away ) Had three kids and a baby sitter that we had to let go ..so thats how my wife and daughter got to see them in Durham . You will really get into this show... Maybe Seger had some agreement with GM about "like a Rock." I would 've liked to see him play it for sure. Ah...The moody Blues ..saw them back in the day..great show too.............
