Anyone have tv viewership data?

The Indianapolis Star ran a story about viewers for the Indycar doubleheader in Iowa last weekend. Saturday had 500,000 something viewers, Sunday had 700,000 something viewers, and mentioned NASCAR Sonoma had 900,000 something viewers on TNT.

How big is the viewership for NHRA races, on average? Is it any different if on Fox vs FS1?

Given up on watching TV ratings, NHRA is doing nothing to fix the show, endless recaps, poor car audio, bizzare documentary style, not focusing on the competitition, etc
At a time where the TV contract is soon up, if they are not fixing now, time to accept the status quo.
It is what it is

Why are their cameras so much worse than what Main Event used? The IHRA coverage was a breath of fresh air, how it should be done. Drone work, cameras following cars into shutdown, driverinterviews in staging lanes. All commentators did an excellent job.

Overall, TV ratings for IndyCar have been very good this year compared to past years. Seems like the Iowa ratings were lower than others this year, but not sure how Iowa ratings compared to past years.

Not sure how NASCAR is doing, but they put on such a poor show now with their "Four-cautions-in-the-last-20-laps-of every-race" routine, the racing is horrible. I would think their ratings would be way down.

We never got the big bump with TV ratings years ago that everyone hyped when NHRA started paying FOX instead if ESPN for our drag racing coverage.

I watched the IHRA race on youtube, and also enjoyed the commentary. Mix that with NHRA's production budget and Fox would have a better product, imo.

WHats funny is the ihra coverage was so much better than fox,esp no loud mouths yelling, and the big one the sound of the cars was so much better than fox, i think its safe to say fox sucks, nhra move somewhere else. Where is this special treat we were suppose to get from fox on sounds of cars. I say brimg back sounds of the strip and call it a day lol

NHRA has its own production crew controlled by NHRA not Fox.

Haven't had a chance to watch eliminations from IHRA yet, but noticed a few major things:
The camera work was fantastic, you could actually watch the non Nitro cars (all classes) and enjoy them, unlike NHRA.TV that gives horrible camera work other than for the pros;
Announcing was excellent, the Krista's killed it, informative and professional.
No WWE type yelling by a clown.
No GET LOUD!!!! No MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!!!!
Car sound still needs a better mix, though.
For a first broadcast overall very impressive, and entertaining

To be honest I only watch NHRA races after I record it and fast forward through the Hour + of "fluff" nitro. PS/PSM don't even show 1st and 2nd rounds until the semi's where you'll get a 5-minute recap. I'm so close to not even recording it and reading the net the next day. The only thing stopping me is NHRA's terrible website.

There's always Drag Race Central for results. I too usually record and wait about an hour after start time on TV. I can usually catch up before the end. If you skip all the bs and the commercials it goes pretty fast

Well nhra hates pro stock. They need to stop showing rerun after rerun of nitro, imcluding the first 3 rds of recaps of what we just saw. Im with ya,about ready to stop watching all together, this years fox coverage has been the worst since fox took over. Im all for nhratv if they fix the sound of the cars and lower the announcers alot, but i wont pay and support it the way it is. Shame, why take a good thing and ruin it with crap coverage on fox and nhratv. Could be SO MUCH BETTER.

Not to be all negative, but this where I am at too. NHRA.TV could learn a thing or two from the IHRA coverage last week. Good sound for the cars, no screaming from the announcers and the camera angles and picture quality were good.

Sad to say, if an IHRA race runs the same weekend as an NHRA race, will skip NHRA.TV to watch IHRA, even though I paid a small fortune to watch NHRA.TV
You will have plenty of time to watch both. The downtime during the IHRA race was excessive. Plus NHRA is usually finished by late afternoon on Saturday and IHRA begins eliminations in the afternoon.
