Another legend passes

Northwest drag racing legend Walt Austin has passed on. One of the first diggers I ever saw make a pass down the
1320, was the AA/GD of Walt & Bucky Austin on a warm June day in 1968 at Pacific Raceway (8 years old, first drag race).

That whole Austin family was a drag racing staple; I miss them greatly. RIP, Walt. Prayers; the family.

IMO, he was one of the all-time geniuses in drag racing! no telling how much more Pat would have won if they didn't stop after the Ford engine fiasco.
