Am I reading this right or is it another NHRA Glitch?

Like thread says Salinas runs 300.80 in the 1/8th?

What a 330'-on charge, after a decent but typical .842 60'. This record might stand for awhile. Antron came close, 299.00. Force and Kalitta had their cars on Kill but it was too much. Smoke city.

RH 80 percent; no wonder PS and PSM were just average.

History right there. The thing that stands out to me besides the 300 mph (which is awesome!) is that .842 and 2.09 are not anything out of the norm. That thing really hauled ass in the middle and out the back. The 660-1000 split is .711. When Brittany ran 3.62 she was 2.05 to the 330 and 2.902 the 660. You put the .711 back split on the 2.902 and get 3.613. That’s what’s out there if you can hit both ends. Just that easy right. 😁 Awesome stuff tonight!

Rob Flynn is a great seasoned tuner, don't underestimate his talent, he's very smart. He doesn't get the recognition he deserves. The tuners have the toughest job on a Fuel car team, when the car runs good it's the driver's talent, when it smokes the tires it's the tuners' fault. It takes both or them to be successful.
Jeff you are correct. I've been watching Rob for years here in the Northwest, since the late 1970s when he crewed on
the top fuel dragster of the late Hank Johnson and the alky cars of the late Brent Bramley (good running digger),
Ed Grekul, Kirk Lawrence and he was also a crewmember for Pat Austin when he got his first alky funny car win at the
1986 Cajun Nationals. Rob has been around a couple of years.

simply amazing to think about what just happened. 30+ years ago we were all in awe as the cars went into 4's and over 300mph
not only the history making run saturday night, but another 338 for top speed of meet.
mike's Q3 charlotte: 3.647 @ 338.00mph ....... 60ft-0.842 sec., 330ft-2.091, 660ft-2.936/300.80 mph.
mike's E2 brainerd: 3.654 @ 338.26mph ....... 60ft-0.828 sec., 330ft-2.085, 660ft-2.941/297.09 mph.

I’m glad it happened at a NHRA event. I expected it to happen at the Bradenton race in February and then there would always be the NHRA first and Top Fuel first.
