I have the worst news possible ... after an exhaustive sponsorship search ... I am NOT running Top Fuel next year. These economic times are tough, and marketing budgets are the first thing to go and we all know racing budgets are but a slice of the larger marketing pie. It was hard not to get my hopes up, but I had to face reality. I'll still be around, you will probably spot me in the pits at a few events next year, just to keep my face out there. When the economy turns around, I'll look into it some more, and hopefully you will see me out there in the fight for the first time again. I would like to wish my competitors who I have never competed against the best of luck in '09.
