Glad you enjoyed it Jeff! I set it on my DVR, but haven't watched it yet. Based on the article, it said that she gets about $4 million a year from Tequila Patron to run the operation, but that they still need more. I appreciate the fact that her dad made her work hard for everything that she gets!

and a sponsorship from Patron Tequila (co-founded by her father) only partially offsets the costs.

IMO that means they spend as much or more as any DSR or JFR team or similar and achieve similar results.
go ask the teams that fill the 16 car fields what they could do with 4 million.
it wasn't too long ago that i remember 2 million being the magic number.
need to raise my prices

I understood it to mean that the total cost is around $4 million a year and Patron covers part but not all $4m. Redline, MAC, Toyota etc round out the $4m. I agree Mike that it was a good article by non-automotive media.

Either way guys, $4 Mil is way out of whack. We all know that nobody MAKES money racing, without being underwritten. Pick any type of motorsport, and no matter how big the purse, it will be a fraction of what it costs to win it. I actually thought $3 Mil was the magic number. Of course, I'm sure some can be competitive on 2 or 3. Lots of variables. Maybe I should start a thread about the high cost of racing?! Seriously though, is there a way to see that segment anywhere again?
