I keep looking for the explanation about what made him steer away from the expected team. Brian Lohnes said on his podcast "a known pro stock family purchased a new car but even if you knew which family you'd never guess the details." I was expecting maybe something from Bo and Randi Lynn.

For his first full pull, initial primary sponsorship will come via the high-end residential real estate business that he built from the ground up, Cody Coughlin Company, and the divisions that fall beneath its umbrella. Additional partners will be named in the near future.

Don't know how far Cody's placement in the family tree is guessing great grandson of the Captain, but the Name JEGS has built an empire for the kids to enjoy racing and I wouldn't be happy if I was the Captain.

Funding a deal like this, and building up a new business "from the ground up", takes very little effort when you have the financial firepower of the Jegs Empire in your pocket to start with.

And what's your point? Business is about using the tools and resources available to you. If one of those resources is being a part of the Coughlin family, so be it.

If it was me, I definitely would. and I suspect you probably would too.....
