A Consistent Harold Martin Will Start 10th in Norwalk

On the strength of a 6.200-second, 228.07 mph run recorded on Saturday night, Harold Martin qualified his ACDelco Pontiac Pro Mod 10th for Sunday’s final eliminations of the Skull Shine World Nationals presented by ACDelco. With 42 Pro Mod cars vying for one of only 16 starting spots, Martin knew he would need an error-free performance, and he and his Martin Motorsports team delivered, making three consistent runs in the 6.2-second range during the first two days of competition at Norwalk Raceway Park.

“We’re pleased with our ACDelco Pontiac’s progress,” said Martin. “We improved on every run, and, more importantly, see where we can pick up even more. We had a couple things that didn’t go our way, so hopefully we can get those straightened out and capitalize on them on race day.

“It was also very special to have so many of the ACDelco customers and fans on hand to be a part of the experience. It was a tremendous feeling to know they were following the progress we were making and cheering us on every run.”
