I know this will be moved, but congrats are in order for the Ron McLellan / Bob Montgomerey "Liquid Quiker" Top Fuel Hydro who posted the 4.582 a day after running 4.593 to set the IHBA record and win the event in Augusta, GA. Crew Chief Roger Way has that outrigger FLYING!!!!
That's beyond my comprehension. I can remember Clinton Anderson crushing the record with a 235 MPH pass back in the day and I have watched them bump that time and again but I can honestly say I would never have believed this speed/e.t. could be done on water. Wow!
That is absolutely AWESOME!
Been around this sport for years, and never believed that these types of numbers were possible.
Congrats to everyone involved.
Congratulations are definately in order, thosed guys never gave up. How many poeple would have quit after the first crash? But they kept at it, the ERC Outrigger haul is *****en.
I remember thinking seeing Dwayne Patton's 4.55@216 at Redding like 7-8 years ago that it would NEVER be broken! I don't know what Patton's 1/8 numbers were like on that pass but he obviously left a TON on the table! The Twin prop combo completely changed the sport of Dragboat racing that's for sure!
