Sorry if there is an existing thread or if I have missed an update. Bristol has not opened up their tickets for purchase or renewal as they are “still working on plans for 2026” which got my peabrain thinking.

Isn’t the schedule usually released by now? I know there were rumors about Sonoma and Seattle losing their dates and South Georgia Motorsports Park maybe getting a National Event but haven’t seen anything confirmed. Other than the first couple of races, do you think we’re set for a schedule overhaul or a normal schedule that is just taking time to release?

I thought it was usually out around Indy. NASCAR just released their schedule today. I think everyone usually falls in line after it being released. One interesting bit from the NASCAR schedule. Chicagoland Speedway got their date back.

Wonder how long the Chicagoland Speedway date will last, they lost it due to poor attendance. Supposedly they are going to do the lake front street race again, Chicago wants a date that is not the 4th Of July weekend. Went to the RT. 66 Nationals quite a while ago, really nice track.

Latest rumor I heard was if the street race continues , Chicagoland gets a late season date (or vice versa), so 2 races possible in 2027.
RT 66 desperately needs new ownership, someone like Curtis Francois (Gateway) or a Bader type, that will turn it into the world class dragstrip it was designed to be

I'm curious as to what date the city would want and whether NASCAR would agree to it. The current race date is pretty much the old Taste of Chicago date. The Air & Water Show was just this past weekend, Lollapalooza was two weekends before that. There's always concerts at Soldier Field. Once mid-August hits, Bears football starts up, that's a 3 - 4 hour process just getting into the stadium...I could go on.

The "rumor" was, NASCAR had a 90 day before & after block on events at RT66 Raceway for the Chicago Street Race. The "rumor" was NHRA was able to get NASCAR down to 45 days before & after. If true, I'd assume that stance has soften since there has been other events at RT66 this year. One of which was the Hot Rod Power Tour. Part of me thinks, if the Chicagoland Speedway race does well, the Chicago Street Race will quietly disappear into history.

Chicago land Speedway lost its date, because Illinois shut it down. Because of COVID.\n Don't forget, rt 66 is owned by NASCAR and NH RA leases, the track Just like they lease Pomona. Plus chicago area is mostly stick and ball enthusiast
