​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ NHRA ANNOUNCES 2020 LUCAS OIL DRAG RACING SERIES SCHEDULE​ GLENDORA, Calif. (Nov. 8, 2019) – The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, where the future stars of the sport earn their racing stripes, returns to action for the 2020 race season to compete at premier racing facilities across the country. The action-packed series kicks off at Orlando Speed World Dragway, in Orlando, Fla. on Jan. 31 – Feb. 2. New this season, National Trail Raceway will feature double the sportsman racing action as it hosts a Division 3 points meet July 16-17 directly followed by the iconic JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals, July 18-19. The 2020 season will conclude for the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in Las Vegas, November 5-8. The upcoming 2020 schedule includes 44 divisional events with a minimum of six in each of the seven divisions. I wish D5 would start a little earlier, but that's not a big deal. Going next door, at least they finally separated Joliet and Indy. I never understood why anybody thought those two on back-to-back weekends was a good idea.

Ratz, Wild Horse is going to be in hot Oct again. Does this mean no alky classes like 2019????

The TAD/TAFC ONLY race in Dallas/Ennis is sorta interesting. Has that ever been done before ... I sorta assume it is connected to some other race that weekend.

Yes - that's what it means Cliff. With the Regional format, sharing TAD/TAFC events with D-6, I don't think you'll see TAD/TAFC in Arizona anytime soon. It simply makes sense to race at Sonoma and Vegas - as it's easier for D-6 cars to come down there (especially Vegas with the (2) National Events scheduled week prior). Just the way the cards fall...Also, you can see which "Divisionals" have TAD/TAFC - if they are listed as REGIONAL - they have them. If it's just Divisional - they're not there.

Same thing in Seattle. Should be interesting to see how these races play out. Be nice to see 16 cars fields.
