God speed Ohio George. He pushed the sport forward and we all stand on his shoulders.

I remember seeing him run a few times. Loved his cars so much I built a couple of model cars of them , "Years Ago"

Met Ohio George several times at Indy. Seemed like a really nice guy.
I`m in Dayton quite often. Never really knew (until now) you could just stop by his and Gregs shop. Wished I`d looked into that in the past, would have loved to talk to him.

George's last effort with his AA/GS Mustang, turned into a BB/AT after Ford insisted he try a turbo Boss 429. It had so much top end power they had to detune it about 600hp just to keep it from blowing the tires off in the back half. It ran 8.26 at 175mph at the 1974 Gatornationals. I liked the Mustang; most everybody competing in AA/GS at the time had a 1940 Willys or an Anglia.

RIP, George. You were one of the best.

I remember once he had a turbo Pinto, ran in the AA/Modified Compact class. Had the 2000CC Pinto engine.
