After focusing his efforts on his new nitro funny car the week before in Mission BC, Clint Thompson was back in the driver seat of his Cascade Auto Group Top Alcohol funny car at the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Event in Spokane, July 30 - August 1st. The event billed as the “Northwest Thunderfest” attracted a good size crowd that also featured nitro funny cars and jets. The veteran driver of the G-Force Race Cars MSR Performance powered 1968 Firebird from Medina, New York, qualified number one for race three in the 2010 Pro Modified Racing Association tour, and went the distance to win his first PMRA event of the year and the first IHRA Ironman of his career.
