Lincolnshire, Ill. – PEAK Motor Oil/Herculiner NHRA Full Throttle Series Top Fuel pilot TJ Zizzo is featured on this week’s Nitro Rewind, an internet program focusing on the teams of the NHRA’s two nitro classes. Zizzo taped his appearance on the show’s second episode during the recent O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals in Baytown, Texas.
“I know this is only the second episode but we have been thrilled with the response. We have more drivers in both categories involved and we have seen great fan response on the NHRA’s YouTube channel as well as Facebook and Twitter,” said Ashley Force Hood, John Force Entertainment president.
“This episode gives fans some great insight from the driver’s perspective about what they could look for in any upcoming ESPN2 broadcasts so they can enjoy the show better. Our goal with Nitro Rewind is to drive fans to ESPN2 and make the thrills of the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series even more exciting and interesting.”
In this episode (which can be viewed by clicking HERE) Top Fuel driver David Grubnic talks about the season heating up as it heads to Atlanta and TJ Zizzo gives fans a perspective from the eyes of an independent team. Nitro Rewind caught up with a handful of Funny Car drivers including Houston race winner Jeff Arend, two-time Funny Car world champion Cruz Pedregon and independent drivers like Bob Bode and Jon Capps. Tim Wilkerson gives his tips on how he gets his Mustang Funny Car down hot tracks like Atlanta Dragway as well.
As a special treat for Nitro Rewind viewers The Legacy Coach Scott Garwood checks in and gives fans a quick tip on how they can make some progress in being more successful in their daily lives.
Future episodes will be posted on the NHRA YouTube channel the Thursday after each national event.
The next scheduled race for Zizzo and the PEAK Motor Oil/Herculiner team is the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Route 66 Nationals at his home track of Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill. For more information or for tickets, visit them on the Web at Route66Raceway.com
