First session tomorrow and first round Sunday is where you'll see some good 'uns, not that 6.55 isn't good. I'll wager a cup it'll be the quickest PS field in history. 11am tomorrow is predicted to be sunny, 63 degrees and 40% humidity, a Pro Stock recipe from heaven.

Too cold and humid tonight...61, 65%. Top Fuel was a laugher.

But no laughing tomorrow. Count on it. My crystal ball says by Sunday evening, TF, 3.76, Dixon or Cory. Hagan will get the record, a low 4.0 but no 3. One of the Force cars will run 315. PS, 6.52, with a 6.56 bump. Several cars will run 211. PSM, Krawiec will run an .82, and we'll have an all-6 second field.

It's funny how just a couple of years ago a 6.5 second pass would be a top half number but now it's just enough to bump in....

Jack, looks like I owe you a coffee. You called it correctly.

I wish we still had the fall race at Rt. 66. Cold dry air on a Friday night means stout times and big speeds. Damn!

I think I batted .500 or better on my predictions from yesterday. I like my coffee hot, with a touch of cream, please.

I predicted a 6.82 in PSM, there was indeed a 6.82, but I certainly wasn't counting on Hector Arana being the recipient. Half-right on that one.

I looked for better PS times but they didn't materialize. The air density just wasn't there. Boo, hiss. Struck out.

Hagan backed up his 4.01 for a record; no 3-second pass. Got that one right on the money. :)

I predicted Dixon to run 3.76; Dixon ran 3.78. An honorable mention for that one ? And he might run a .76 tomorrow, in round 1 or in the final, assuming he makes the final.

Tomorrow's pics?

Arana won't win; he'll either redlight or camp out. I'll pick Krawiec.

Same with V Gaines in PS. His car now runs with the best of 'em but he's not consistent on the tree. Allen Johnson.

I'll go with Hagen in FC. Obviously strong and bracket-car consistent all weekend. The team's got their stuff together.

Hard to pick against Larry Dixon in Top Fuel. So, there you have it.
