Tim Wilkerson had every bit of a good day on Friday in Charlotte, posting a 4.128 in Q1 and then backing that up with a stronger 4.084 in Q2, which landed him in the No. 5 spot overnight. During the two sessions, Wilk got to test out the outermost lanes on this four-lane track, running in Lane 1 during Q1 and Lane 4 during Q2. On Saturday, he will run in the two inside lanes.
