Tim Wilkerson ended qualifying with his best lap of the weekend, to this point. He had slid into the 11th spot in Q3, when a dropped cylinder ended his run early, and then had been knocked down to the 12th position by the time he staged the Levi, Ray & Shoup Mustang in Q4. His clean and solid 4.090 was good enough to move him back into the 11th spot.
