Wow! Good point. It's hard to pick out many differences. There are a few - but they are all subtle.

After seeing one of the Toyotas in person.. and thinking back to seeing one ofthe FORDS .. the big difference i can tell is that the Ford is a bit more rounded in the front.. the Toyota does look like a dirt latemodel more in the nose.. almost flat strait across.....

It's a Toy 'stang... you can get them at most collectible shops for a couple of hundred bucks...

but, i seriously think, given the starting shapes and the green house rule, the profile is what the air in the wind tunnel says it needs to be...

and remember kids, we call them Funny Cars for a reason....
(like any of us are kids:eek: )
 
Good point Karl. If you think about it, if the different manufacturers all spent time in the wind tunnel, trying to come up with THE best body design given the rules and basic parameters, it would seem logical that they would all gravitate toward a very similar design. After all, there are several different jet and airplane builders, but all planes look basically the same, right?
