My dad ran a set of Jess Tyree headers when he was running his '62 Impala SS 409/409 back in the 60's.

Jess Tyree will be remembered as one of the most dedicated drag racers to ever hit the strip. His long battle with cancer came to an end a few days ago. For those wanting to say farewell, funeral services will be held this Friday, February 5th. Loma Vista Mortuary, 701 East Bastanchury Road, Fullerton, CA 92835. Viewing from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30, followed by graveside services.

Thanks for giving the information Mike. I'm sorry that I won't be back in time from my trip overseas, but this will give me some time to have another one-on-one conversation with Jess when I get back. Give my best regards to his family and crew members Ted, Mike and Dale.

Through life's struggles, Jess believed he lived a charmed life. An inspiration to everyone he met.
