SUGAR HILL, Ga., March 12, 2008 – GM Performance Parts racer Warren Johnson will be a featured guest on the Powershift XM Satellite radio show this Thursday evening (March 13). Johnson, who will be introducing his new Pontiac GXP to national event competition this weekend, is scheduled to join host Joe Castello in the studio at Gainesville Raceway at 8:05 p.m. Eastern.
Johnson, 64, is a six-time champion in his 35th season of NHRA Pro Stock competition, and a 2007 inductee into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame. The Professor, who is currently seventh in the POWERade Pro Stock Championship standings, will be participating in his 29th Gatornationals and looking to add to his NHRA-leading total of nine wins at this marquee event.
Hosted by Joe Castello, Powershift is a two-hour show covering all forms of motorsports, and features a lively blend of interviews, commentary and audience interaction. Powershift airs weeknights at 8:00 p.m. on the XM Sports Nation channel 144.
