We've all watched many a whack back when they were all doing it - those guys aren't just stomping and quickly releasing in order not to over-rev the engine...they LOVE doing it. I would too. They'll just grit their teeth, stomp it, and then smile with satisfaction and aggression, like drivers did back during the FC dry hop days. A my-bark-is-bigger-than-your-bark scenario.
