Just want to let you know that if we have any Vietnam Veterans or POW-MIA Families, at 10 AM Saturday during each NHRA POWERade event we have a gathering at the back of Melanie Troxel's pits. This is basically an orientation for those who haven't been to a drag race in a long time and an opportunity for the team to say, "WELCOME HOME" to the veterans and to let the POW-MIA Families know their loved ones are not forgotten.

Yeah I agree Bobby, that is AWESOME! I'm a lifetime member of the VFW (Veterans of Foriegn Wars) and I absolutely love going to a local (there are quite a few to choose from here in San Diego) VFW on a Friday night... Not to drink cheap beer, though that's nice too, but to meet and get to know the REAL hero's who served in Vietnam, Korea & even a few WWII vets. Man oh man, the stories they can tell - I just sit there in awe listening and thanking them.

If I make it to a race this year you can bet I'll be looking for you - and them. Thanks for the info.
