They warmed up the rear engined top fueler (Muldowney livery) sitting on the ground? Don't think I have ever seen that before ... doesn't exactly strike me as "safe".

NHRA requires that one of the driveline components( coupler, driveshaft, axles) be disconnected... Some cackle cars now have a slide coupler installed for both static or push starts ... To perform a push start - the driver has to be approved as experienced.......doesn't exactly strike me as "safe".....
