Ugly Road to Victories!

Jeggie runs a 10.76 in round one but wins the race. El Guapo didn't run good until the final. Crampton had issues in the middle rounds. The Harleys are the only things that ran well every round. Goes to show you sometimes need luck on your side, but in this case, it was more like worse luck for their opponents. I was waiting for Jeggie to pull a Fred Flintstone that first round. LOL

What sucks was that three people had the golden opportunity to take Cruz out and failed to capitalize. I'm normally not a big Del fan, but I was sure rooting for him in the FC final!

That was the wackiest first round of Pro Stock that I have ever seen. Pedal fest after pedal fest then BOOM ... National ET record by EE and Elite Motorsports.

What was wrong with that track? I can't believe that many crew chiefs in Pro Stock missed their setups. Has anyone been able to give a specific reason for all the screwups? That was ugly.

Cruz had mentioned in one of his interviews that the air was 300 feet below sea level, but the track temp was just under or around 120 degrees. Good air like that doesn't usually accompany that type of track. So everyone had to back it way on down.

As others mentioned, the air conditions were some of the best seen in recent memory, Tommy D said he has never raced a car with the barometer reading so high. The issue was you never have that kind of air with track temps above 110 which is about what it was for round 1 of PS.
