Las Vegas, NV – Troy Ladd, founder and president of Hollywood Hot Rods in Burbank , California was presented with the 2007 Goodguys Trendsetter award, Wednesday evening, October 31st in Las Vegas . Ladd accepted the award during the Hot Rod Industry Alliance awards reception here at the SEMA show.
The Goodguys Trendsetter Award is presented annually at SEMA to rising young talents in the realm of rod & custom car building.
A life long car enthusiast, Ladd opened Hollywood Hot Rods in 2002. After building his business from the ground up, he debuted a hemi-powered copper hued lakes-inspired ‘32 Ford hiboy roadster at this year’s Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona . The car was met with unparalleled approval from the young guys to the most hardened graybeard rodders. The low-slung roadster, which combines traditional styling with modern day performance and materials, was a finalist for the America ’s Most Beautiful Roadster crown. The car went on top receive worldwide acclaim after being featured on the cover of the November 2007 issue of Rod & Custom Magazine.
