Trauth Earns the Goodson Pro Top Outlaw Victory in London
Next Up 1st Annual Mid Ohio Nationals, Pacemakers Dragway July 11th and 12th
The Goodson Pro Top Outlaw series was back in action in London , Kentucky and at the end of the day it was Anthony Trauth, racing in his first event of the season, who took home the prize money. Trauth, last years event runner-up, defeated Brandon Booher in the final round.
Booher, current points leader and number one qualifier for the event, earned his semi-final round win with at 3.91 second pass down the eighth mile beating Tom Mueller, who already has one final round appearance this year. In the other semi-final, Trauth ran low et of the session 3.90 to take the earn the win light against Terry Coyle. With lane choice in the final, Trauth left first and never looked back running low et and top speed of the meet, 3.88 at 184 MPH, to Booher’s losing effort, 3.90 at 179 mph.
This race also marked the season opener for the American Colorscans Super Eliminator class. The class comprised of qualifiers 9 thru 16 also put on a great show for the fans. Number one qualifier Matt Gladd beat alternate Tom Stringer in the final, with a great 4.173 second pass at 169.13 MPH down the eighth mile.

Each class, the Spitzer Top Guns and the American Colorscans Super Eliminators, will be in attendance vying for their share of the over $15,000 in cash and contingency. Throughout the weekend, with the night of “fire” on Friday and the great racing action on Saturday, fans will see all the track records fall as the competitors thunder down the eighth mile at over 180 mph in less than 4 seconds.
