Top 10 Part Time TF Sponsor Moving to Pro Stock (1 Viewer)

That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Top Fuel cars typically get a lot of coverage while Pro Stock is dying and doesn’t even get shown on race day TV coverage.

could be that or the car they currently back doesn't get much tv time and they wanna pro stocker who is more competitive thus attracting more tv !? butner for example has won a championship and 3 races already this year, all with no backing!

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Go to a category with even less tv time and very little interest.

who gets more tv time, a nitro car that loses 1st round practically every race or a pro stock car that goes to the semis or better the same amount of races ?

The article said it was a top 10 fuel car. That doesn't sound like a car that loses 1st round "practically every race."

Who gets more TV the nitro cars or PS cars? Only the hardcore fan waits for the stand alone PS show to come a day later.

Admittedly it makes more sense for a strut manufacturer to try to reach a door car audience, but it's hard to beat the exposure you get on a fuel car. The cost of P/S sponsorship is less than TF, but fan attention is also less. Maybe they're okay with that, and maybe the ROI makes sense. In any case, will this leave Clay scrambling for funds?
