BROWNSBURG, Ind. (March 13, 2013) - Tony Pedregon and the American Racing team spent their break off from the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series regrouping in preparation for the 44th annual Amalie Oil NHRA Gatornationals, an event notorious for producing quick runs.
“At some point as a team we have to perform,” said Pedregon. “We are up against some great competition, but I feel my personnel has significantly improved from this time last year and with that we continue to improve upon what we do on
the race track."
The team also stirred up some buzz during the off weekend. They became one of the first NHRA teams to pay tribute to the viral video craze, known as the Harlem Shake. Pedregon and the team prepped Friday night after work for the Saturday morning shoot. View Tony Pedregon Harlem Shake.
Pedregon is looking forward to this weekend at Gainesville Raceway, a place where he clocked his fastest speed in 1000' at 311.49 mph and has two career wins.
