The Fuller Times
47th annual CARQUEST Auto Parts Winternationals Prerace

“I’m very confident that we have a car that can win at Pomona,” Fuller said. “We spent most of the testing trying to figure out the monostrut wing. We weren’t concerned about running fast, but we did run a 4.490, which is a career-best for me and we shut off early. I know we have a mid-4.4-second car. I’ve won there twice, and that would be a great way to start off the year. It’s exciting with the changes and going into the race with a teammate.”

Fuller Winternationals Notebook
Last season, Fuller finished fifth in the NHRA Top Fuel standings, with two victories in five final-round appearances. He also was the runner-up in the lucrative Top Fuel Shootout at Las Vegas. The 2006 season was Fuller’s first full season in Top Fuel competition.

Fuller qualified fifth at the 2006 Winternationals with a 4.518-second elapsed time. He was defeated in the quarterfinals by Morgan Lucas.

Fuller has yet to advance passed the second round of eliminations in Top Fuel competition at Pomona Raceway in five career races at the historic Southern California drag strip.

Fuller has scored two sportsmen victories at Auto Club Raceway. He won Pomona 3 (Super Comp) in 2001 and claimed the Super Gas title at the Auto Club Finals in 2003.
