Thanks for the photos Gino. At the last minute, I was not able to attend. I am really glad to read that Steve was there. In times of tragedy, you need to be around friends and family. There is no bigger group of friends that Steve has than the attendees at the Nitro Revival.

Just watched the Steve Gibbs legends video on competitionplus, it's in the middle of the story about the fire. It's awesome if you've never seen it.

My heart broke for Steve when I read about the Fire.

I met him briefly when he visited Sydney Dragway for the World Fuel Altered Challenge back in 2019 when I was the marketing manager for the track. I don't get overwhelmed too often after 30+ years in the sport, but to be standing face to face with a guy that I looked up to from the other side of the world (only in books and on the internet) and as a student of the administration side of the sport, it was a little bit of a "pinch me moment".

Steve was an absolutely gentleman to this kid who was 45+ years his junior, and to spend just a little bit of time with him, with fuel altereds like the Rat Trap, Pure Hell and The Bradford's Fiat warming up a few meters away from me (plus being at my home track and workplace) was something I will never, ever forget.

Hopefully Steve can rebound from this devastating Situation.
