We are considering going to Texas what can you guys tell me about it?

Champion club seating $370 vs Super seating $225

What direction does the sun come from

Should we expect 90 degree+ weather

What's the closest airport to the track

What places are closer than Ft. Worth to stay
TIA

WOW Jim you ask a lot of really good questions. I have been to the Texas Motorplex race twice! Both times I had AWESOME experiences!! The closet airports are DFW & Dallas Love. Dallas Love is a much smaller an easier airport to get around. Southwest flies in to Dallas Love. There are plenty of hotels in Ennis & Waxahachie. Both towns are less than 15 minutes from the track. Billy Meyer has an AWESOME Facility!!! The Champions Club is really nice-it's similar to the Top Eliminator Club excpet it's in an indoor AC Building! There is Closed Circuit TV and the food is really good. Nice Bar also! The weather can be really tricky. Really HOT or Really COOL. All I can say to that is check the NWS for updates! Also, don't forget about the Annual DRAW Auction on Saturday night in the Champions Club!!! I hope I was able to help you out-hope to see you at the race. I'll be there!!!

The sun pretty much shines as it does anywhere in the southern US...up in the east, down in the west, and in between depending upon the earth's position at the time. That's not a smartaleck comment. It's the way it is, no different from any other city along the same parallel, such as Atlanta or Los Angeles. The track itself runs WSW to ENE and the sun is never a factor in your face, such as it is at the Seattle track.

It can be 75 - or 105. Wind is usually 10-15 but if we're having a heat spell expect SW winds at 25-30. It rains plenty in late September but the Plex has been lucky as of late. Most likely, mid 80s dropping to low 70s for Friday night qualifying. It'll be a bit humid. You're not likely to see any PS records but the nitro rounds can be stunning if the conditions are right.

There are indeed motels in Waxahachie but you'd best have a reservation, and soon. There aren't that many. Best bet is just south of Dallas on I45; tons of motels and 30-45 min. from the track at the most.

You WILL walk what seems like 5 miles from your car to the track entrance, unless one of these packages includes close-in parking. But once you're there, as Kevin said, you will enjoy. Despite being 24 years old, this is a NICE facility.

.........Champion club seating $370 vs Super seating $225.......

attn: joe sherwood.......recent comment regarding brainerd prices :D

fee for three days - one adult: $380.00
- gen. admission friday thru sunday
- camping
- atv/trailer
- reserved seat
- residual entertainment

quit complaining and start attending :)

The cheapest seat on the tour by far is at Houston! You can get a 3 day Gen. Add pass for just $110! The General admission is the entire spectator side which also has the sun at your back! Can't beat it anywhere!

An unlike most tracks you can sit on the starting line there in Gen. Admission as opposed to 600' at most tracks!
