I think you should be thanking Mac Tools for supporting the Kalitta's and the NHRA for so long instead of berating them for deciding not to renew their sponsorship.

Would you rather Mac make a financial decision that supports their ability to beter adapt to the current financial climate, or continue to spend more than they can afford and have to shut down and leave a bunch of people unemployed?

You just seem a little ungrateful.

Way to go Doug that will teach Mac Tools to drop a great team

Oh really? I see MAC Tools in a few places...

They are still a sponsor, unlike other companies that have completely dropped tail and run we should be praising the ones that do what they can to stay

Jay,

I can guarantee you that was one of the toughest decisions that Mac Tools & Stanley Works had to make in lessening their support to the Kalitta team. It was only out of pure survival that they pulled back as the mobile tool market is really hurting right now.

I'm sure everyone in Westerville Ohio is extremely happy for Doug and that entire team.

Ask Herbert how Snap-On is doing these days. They surely didn't want to break up their ongoing relationship but, with these economic times, there sales are less than stellar and revenues are so far off that sponsorships are nearly impossible.

I'll choose to thank Mac Tools for their continued support at any level.

I agree, there's still a great working relationship there between them. But I can see where some might find irony in the timing. Too add tit for tat...look at Rocky Boots - who took a gamble and just came on as an associate sponsor, having never been in drag racing before.... and bing, bang, pow .... like 2 weeks later thier name is on the winning car. That's a hell of a return on your investment! Somebody at Rocky looks like quite the hero right now.

I am glad <ac tools is still part of the program.I too see the irony in the fact the first race with out the big red car they win.Kindof like when Super Shops droped Eddie Hill and he won a championship the next year.

You guys can butter it anyway you want but, until I see some CEO's COO's and CFO's and any other ones at the top start takeing 15% or 25% pay cuts. I will call it the way I see it. A yellow car looks a lot different than a red one!!!
