Super Stock Hemi 8.38?

I'm posting this here because I know even us hardcore nitro maters like the Hemi cars. It says over at DRC that Wescott qualified with an 8.38 at the PA Dutch Classic. That's gotta be a world record by at least a tenth, no? And hats off to Chuck Comella, who raced out of upstate NY since back in the '60s when my dad did, he qualified with what I believe is a career best 8.52. Awesome runs.

Mine shaft conditions at that race. He went a .38 and backed it up with a 8.41. Wescott Sr ran 159.36 MPH. They are getting it done. The corrected altitude today was -212 ft

The Westcotts are in a class of they're own in SS/AA! Even at Indy they were a tenth on everybody else!

The live video and timing on the Maple Grove website was very cool. It was great to watch Jim Daniels win and see Charlie's 8.38 today.
Some terrific runs in other SS classes and Stock too.
