Check out the latest piece on Inside National Dragster on NHRA.com.

It's a really cool piece on Steve Reyes, possibly one of the best photographers to grace a drag race, if not the best. I remember tearing out his shots from many magazines to post in my room.

The DRAGSTER Insider

A great story. Paul, I did the same thing with the pictures from Hot Rod, Popular Hot Rodding, Car Craft, and Super Stock & Drag Illustrated. My bedroom when I was a kid was always plastered with those photos, kinda my own wallpaper decoration I guess you could say.

I have to say that the picture of the dragster with the clutch comming out of it is really great..... Probably not great if it was your car but a great pic. Talk about being in the right place at the right time

Steve has two very cool books of his photos out also. One on Funny Car and one on T/F. Many of the T/F cars are from Northern California.

Pat, just saw the phonebooth picture in the Dragster story about your enterprise in funny car "remarketing!" Thanks to Steve Reyes for the great shot, and thanks to you for making the shot possible!

This is one of my fav pics of his.

I can't imagine looking through the viewfinder and seeing all those pieces coming at you! One hell of a great shot though.

I was standing with Dave at Ed's car when that happened, so I didn't see it. Just pieces landing around us, tearing up hunks of asphalt. We heard it, Dave said heads up and then stuff falling from the sky that quick.
