Sportsman Racing Advisory Council Status?

Has anyone heard anything about the "Sportsman Racing Advisory Council"?

It was announced with much fanfare here: http://www.nhra.com/APCM/APCMviewer_sp.asp?a=26216.

And they apparently had a meeting back in March: http://www.nhra.com/APCM/APCMviewer_sp.asp?a=27403.

Then that's all I've heard. Anything??

I know the Top Sportsman/Dragster council has been fairly active and took an agenda to NHRA a couple months ago. I have not heard the outcome of anything.

Other than that, the only ones I know that have made any productive efforts were the Comp Eliminator guys.

There have been meetings by all of the members of various classes at one time or another. Several rule changes were initiated by the Council, and the Council continues to work towards at least bettering the communication between sportsman racers and NHRA. The Oil Down policy change earlier this year was initiated by the Council, as well as some changes in Super Stock/Stock and Comp rules. The problems or concerns we have weren't created overnight and it's going to take time to at least try to rectify some of them. -John DiBartolomeo

John, thanks for the update. It would be nice for NHRA to periodically update us on the web site, so we could follow the status and progress.
