Trying to figure out how this works. TF ran half the field on Fri and there are qualifying leaders listed. NHRA said qualifying continues Sat at 11:30 PT so assuming only two sessions Sat and it’s done. Seems unfair that some got to test the track, enjoy the conditions etc while others don’t. Why not either finish a round or only count full rounds so everyone has an equal number of runs? Or did I get this wrong?

Per policy for first session:
Should the first session not be completed for whatever reason, those drivers being denied a run will maintain their same position as they occupied in the first session. Drivers making the run will be placed in the first to run position sorted by their first session elapsed time.

Should a qualifying session be interrupted and canceled for any reason (i.e., weather, curfew), all runs completed to the point of cancellation will count towards qualifying (exception - see ABBREVIATED QUALIFYING). Those contestants not running prior to the cancellation will forfeit that session. Incomplete qualifying sessions will not be carried over to the following day unless determined by Event Director based on weather, incidents, etc.

There will be no qualifying bonus points for Q1

this has happened multiple times over the years. The times count for those who got to run. The rest are out of luck. I have never seen them run an incomplete session over or let the other cars finish the next day.
